ABCD-J platform and tools featured at the DGKN Hackathon
The ABCD-J platform and its core software components were presented at this year’s “BrainHack” Hackathon during the 2026 DGKN Congress. The hackathon brought together interdisciplinary teams to explore how large datasets and modern analytical methods can be more effectively integrated into neuroscience research.
As part of the program, short presentations introduced key elements of the ABCD-J ecosystem, including DataLad, JTrack, and julearn, alongside related tools such as NiSpace and Case-E. Presenters included ABCD-J contributors, Dr. Mehran Turna, Dr. Federico Raimondo, and Dr. Jürgen Dukart. Together, these contributions highlighted how interoperable technologies for data collection, management, and analysis can support reproducible and scalable research workflows.
The “BrainHack” format provided an opportunity not only to showcase these tools, but also to exchange ideas with researchers and developers. Participation in events like this continues to strengthen the connections between technical development and clinical application within the neuroscience community.
